About the event
Bram (Bramwell) hails from Leigh in Lancashire. Initially encouraged to play Brass Band by his parents, he later moved on to learn the guitar.
Much inspired by the likes of Harvey Andrews, Vin Garbutt, The Spinners, Marie Little and many others.
Dave and Nick are both multi-instrumentalists - Dave plays just about everything that has strings; he's a fine lead guitar player, and for more than 30 years has played mandolin with well-known Lancashire folk group The Oldham Tinkers. Nick has established a reputation locally as a solo singer, and plays both acoustic and bass guitars, mandolin and piano.
They've both known Bram for years: Dave met him at his own recording studio in Salford where Dave produced Bram’s first Folk recording in 1982 and subsequently sessioned on several of Bram’s Albums with Fellside Recordings. Nick met Bram on a tennis court! Since then, their friendship has grown over the years and their collaboration as The Bram Taylor Band is a delightful and entertaining pot-pourri of great songs, music and humour.
